Germans get a win, the Soviets get a win. Playtesting is happening with an all new Battle for Moscow II. Some are using their TiTE game, some the Vassal module and a couple have printed out the files. Chris in Dublin, has developed a ZunTzu module.
With a larger map than the earlier B4M, there are multiple paths to victory objectives. New cards and a simplied Air System has some of the feel of Thunder in the East but with only 14 pages of rules. New players will be helped with setup locations but experianced players will look where best to place the Panzer Corps to lead the attacks.
Play start at the beginning of October with drive to Moscow. Typhoon ends in December but, the Soviet counterattack scenario could be used for the longer campaign game. New objectives will be evaluated at the end of February.
The Germans had attacks that moved the front during October ending in the MUD of Rasputitsa.
Maybe more space than in a full game but, plays well as mini game.
So few units compared to what we usually see in front of Moscow in most games we have tried.
